1. General information
1.1. This document sets out the general terms and conditions for using the campervan rental services provided by SMP Travel Cluj (hereinafter “the Provider”).
1.2. The Customer is the individual or company using the Provider's services and entering into the rental contract.
1.3. By accessing the site and using the services, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms.
2. Booking and confirmation
2.1. Bookings are made through the online form or by contacting us directly (email/phone).
2.2. Booking confirmation is then sent in writing, after availability has been checked and the Customer has provided their details.
2.3. The rental contract takes effect only after written confirmation and signature by both parties.
3. Required documents
3.1. To hire a vehicle, the Customer must present:
- An identity card (individuals) or certificate of registration (companies);
- A valid category B driving licence.
3.2. The Provider reserves the right to refuse the rental if these documents are missing or if legal conditions are not met.
4. Handover and return
4.1. The campervan is handed over at the agreed location, in proper technical and cosmetic condition.
4.2. The Customer must return the campervan with the same fuel level as at collection.
4.3. Late return, or return in unsatisfactory condition, may incur additional penalties as set out in the contract.
5. Rental period and extensions
5.1. The minimum rental period is 3 days.
5.2. Extensions are possible only with the Provider's written agreement.
6. Payment and additional costs
6.1. Payment in full is made before the campervan is collected, using the agreed methods.
6.2. The Provider may require a deposit, refundable at the end of the rental period.
6.3. Additional charges may apply for extra services (cleaning, equipment, additional mileage and so on), as set out in the contract.
7. Cancellation and penalties
7.1. Cancellation conditions and any penalties are communicated at the time of booking and set out in the contract.
8. Use of the campervan
8.1. The campervan must be used in accordance with applicable road traffic law.
8.2. Smoking in the campervan and carrying animals without the Provider's agreement are not permitted.
8.3. Using the vehicle for illegal purposes, or driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances, is strictly forbidden.
9. Insurance and liability
9.1. The campervans carry third-party (RCA) and comprehensive (CASCO) insurance as required by law.
9.2. In the event of an accident or damage, the Customer must immediately notify the Provider and the competent authorities.
9.3. The Customer is liable for damage caused by negligence or by breaching traffic rules or the contract.
10. Personal data protection
10.1. Customers' personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

11. Limitations and refusal of rental
11.1. The Provider reserves the right to refuse a rental in the case of missing documents, inappropriate behaviour or suspected misuse.
12. Disputes and applicable law
12.1. Any disputes will first be settled amicably.
12.2. Failing agreement, disputes will be referred to the competent courts in Romania.
12.3. This document is governed by Romanian law.
