Day 1 – Cluj-Napoca → Vienna
Approximate distance: ~650 km
The first day is the longest, so it is worth setting off first thing in the morning. Vienna makes a great stop for the first night: you arrive, park the campervan and, if you still have the energy, take a short walk through the city and have dinner at the legendary Figlmuller (just remember to book a table in advance)

The drive to Salzburg is not long, so you arrive with plenty of time for a stroll through the city centre before dinner.

Day 3 – Salzburg → Berchtesgaden
Approximate distance: ~30 km
A short day on the road and one of the most relaxing stops of the whole trip. The area is stunning, and Lake Königssee deserves a good few unhurried hours.

Day 4 – Berchtesgaden → Munich
Approximate distance: ~150 km
It is a short drive, so you reach Munich early, with more than enough to fill at least a full day: museums, parks, restaurants or simply wandering through the city.

A short hop of roughly an hour behind the wheel. The Audi museum is the main draw, and the city centre is good for an evening stroll.
